Send us your comments to the "Civic Commitment for Inclusiveness" Conference
Click here to send your messageOn April 25 I had the opportunity to address the people of Portugal and their representatives in Parliament, expressing a number of concerns with respect to social issues that affect a considerable portion of Portuguese society. I believed that this was the time to launch a proposal for a civic commitment for social inclusiveness, invoking all the people of Portugal to feel a greater responsibility towards the more vulnerable and unprotected social groups.
Following this proposal I took the initiative to make a start on the Route for Inclusiveness, during which I identified a large number of good practices and the great effort which is being undertaken by non governmental organizations in the fight against social exclusiveness.
I have now decided to organize a Conference, dedicated to the theme Civic Commitment for Inclusiveness, since it is necessary to undertake an initial examination of that first experience and again reflect deeply over the issues and the proposals which must be placed in motion to provide added value to that effort and, as such, to give a new expression to the initial idea.
