VISIT TO THE ARMY NCO SCHOOL

Mission and Organization of the Army NCO School

The mission of the Army NCO School is to ensure the military, social, cultural, scientific and technical preparation necessary for ingress and progression in the NCO permanent cadres.

The Army NCO School has the following assignments:

  • Conduct the training and promotion courses foreseen in the Statutes of the Members of the Armed Forces;
  • Carry out the professional training courses or activities included in the Basic Law of the Educational System and in the legislation which frames and regulates professional schools;
  • Include in its courses and probation schemes, when duly authorized, members of the other Branches of the Armed Forces or of the Security Forces;
  • Include foreign students in its courses and probation schemes, in line with international technical and military cooperation agreements.

Human Resources

  • Currently serving in the Army NCO School there are 26 Officers, 54 NCOs, 73 Other Ranks and 18 Civilians.
  • In the current school year the 1st Year of the NCO Training Course was attended by 119 students and included 11 women.
  • The 2nd Year, which is carried out in the Training Schools of the respective Branches and Services, is attended by 114 students including 14 women.
  • Courses in health, which are taken over 4 years, start after the 2nd Year in the Military Health School Services. These are currently attended by 33 students, and include 7 women.
