Presentation of project

President of the Republic visited the Port of Praia and was saluted by the officers and crew of the frigate “Corte Real”

At the beginning of the second and last day of his State Visit to Cape Verde, the President of the Republic visited the Port of the City of Praia.

The Chairman of the Board of the Port Authority of Cape Verde, Franklin Spencer, made a presentation of the projects being undertaken and the logistic platform under construction for the capital city’s harbour..

Upon arrival at the harbour area, President Aníbal Cavaco Silva was saluted by the officers and crew of the Portuguese frigate “Corte Real”, currently berthed in the City of Praia.

Later, the President of the Republic and Mrs. Cavaco Silva departed to the Island of São Vicente accompanied by the President of Cape Verde and Mrs. Adélcia Pires.
