Aborigine art on show
The President of the Republic viewed, in the New South Wales Art Gallery, in Sydney, the “Aborigine and Straights of Torres Islanders Art” exhibition.
After this, in another hall, the art gallery’s curators displayed two pictures by a 19th century Portuguese painter, Arthur Loureiro, who was born in Porto and lived in the Australian city of Melbourne.
Later, at the invitation of the Australian authorities, President and Mrs. Cavaco Silva boarded a pleasure craft in which, together with the State’s Minister of Finance and Services, Greg Pearce, they enjoyed a cruise in the Bay of Sydney.
