The President of the Republic empowered the new members of the Council of State.

The Councillors of State who took office were Dr. António D’Orey Capucho, Prof. Doctor José Joaquim Gomes Canotilho and Dr. Maria Leonor Couceiro Pizarro Beleza de Mendonça Tavares.
