The President of the Republic concluded the visit carried out to the Azores Autonomous Region when presiding at the inaugural act of the Natália Correia Study Centre and attending a march past of the County of Ponta Delgada Philharmonic Orchestras.

In the opening of the Centre dedicated to the poetry of the Azores, in Fajã de Baixo, Ponta Delgada, the President delivered an address.

Before his departure to Lisbon, from John Paul II Airport, President Anibal Cavaco Silva received farewell compliments from the Representative of The Republic, from the President of the Regional Government and its executive members as well as from other local individualities.
