Continuing the programme of his visit to New York, on the occasion of the 63rd General Assembly of the United Nations, the President of the Republic held bilateral meetings with the Heads of State of Bosnia-Herzegovina, Haris Silajdzic, Serbia, Boris Tadic, and Montenegro, Filip Vujanoviæ.

President Aníbal Cavaco Silva also attended a dinner hosted by the Secretary General of the United Nations, Ban Ki-moon, in honour of the international leaders present in York.
