The President of the Republic travelled to the County of Vila Nova de Foz Côa, where he visited the Côa Museum, with special regard to the archaeological rock paintings.

Later, President Cavaco Silva went to Castelo Melhor Estate, to visit the wine producing facilities of the Duorum Company, which had developed a European prize winning project for environmental sustainability in a rural area.

After this, the President of the Republic addressed a speech in a session commemorating his visit to the County.
