The President of the Republic visited, in Caniçal, Machico, the Insular Company, a producer of farinaceous food pastes, included in the 7th Campaign on the Route toa Dynamic Economy.

After the visit, President Cavaco Silva left for S. Lourenço Palace, in the centre of Funchal, where the Representative of the Republic, Judge Councillor Ireneu Cabral Barreto, hosted luncheon in his honour.
