The President of the Republic took part, in Rome, with his Italian counterpart Sergio Mattarella and with King Filipe VI of Spain, in the closing session of the X COTEC Europa Meeting, where he addressed a speech.

Prior to the official closure, the three Heads of State held a private meeting. The Emeritus King of Spain, D. Juan Carlos, a founder of COTEC Europa, later joined the three Chairmen of the COTEC foundations and associations in the respective countries.

The X COTEC Europa Meeting, which was attended by a few dozen Portuguese entrepreneurs, was held in the National Research Council (CNR), in the Italian capital, with the reindustrialization of the European economies as its main topic.

The Italian President later hosted, in the Quirinale Palace, home of the Italian Presidency, a dinner in honour of his counterparts and remaining guests.
