The President of the Republic took part, in Erfurt, Germany, in the second working session of the XI Informal Meeting of European Heads of State comprised in the Arraiolos Group, which discussed “Education and Participation”.

This meeting, held in the second day of the Informal Meeting, took place in the Chamber of Honour of Erfurt City Hall, in the capital city of the German Thuringia region.

At the end of the meeting with the non-executive Presidents of the eleven member countries of the European Union, President Cavaco Silva and his counterparts held a joint press conference, which took place in the city’s Evangelical School.

Later, the German President, Joachim Glauck, hosted a luncheon in the Maius Collegium, in honour of his colleagues and their spouses.
