The President of the Republic dedicated the 6th campaign of the Route to a Dynamic Economy to Education and Professional Training, with visits to schools and professional training centres in Lisbon, Palmela and Setúbal.

The Campaign commenced at the Gustave Eiffel Professional Training Scholl, in the Lumiar Academic Campus, in Lisbon, with visits to physics and ocular optical laboratories, as well as to hygiene, safety at work, environment and civil protection, renewable energies automobile mechatronics facilities, and to the pedagogical kitchen of the educational establishment.

Later, in Palmela, President Cavaco Silva visited ATEC – Professional Training Academy, installed in the Autoeuropa Park, where he viewed the automobile and electricity laboratories, as well as the mechanical and automobile workshops, having exchanged contacts with several of the Academy trainees.

In Setúbal, in the local Professional Training Centre, the President visited the mechanical and welding workshops and CNC and aeronautical training facilities, speaking to many of the trainees, several of whom presented their personal situation and explained the activities performed .

In the closing session of the Campaign, the President of the Republic handed diplomas of excellence to eight trainees, and also heard testimonies of two youths who had taken part in the world championship of the professions, where they were awarded excellent classifications.
