The President of the Republic of Senegal, Macky Sall, will hold a State Visit to Portugal, from 7 to 9 September instant, at the invitation of President Cavaco Silva.

The programme will commence, on 8 September, with the laying of a wreath on the tomb of Luis Vaz de Camões, in Jerónimos Monastery.

The Senegalese President will then be received, in the Palace of Belém, by the President of the Republic, this to be followed by a working meeting between the two Heads of State.

The same day’s programme will also include meetings with the Prime Minister and with the Speaker of Parliament, and the presentation of the Key to the City of Lisbon, in the City Hall, by the Mayor of Lisbon. The programme will close with a State Dinner.

A bilateral business forum will be held on 9 September.

In his visit to Portugal, the President of the Republic of Senegal will be accompanied by members of the Senegalese Government and by an entrepreneurial retinue.
