At the start of the State Visit he is carrying out in Portugal, the President of the Republic of Mozambique, Filipe Nyusi, held a meeting, in the Palace of Belém, with President Cavaco Silva.

After a visit to Jerónimos Monastery, where he laid a wreath on the tomb of Luís Vaz de Camões, the Mozambican President was received with military honours in the Palace of Belém.

The President of the Republic and Mrs. Cavaco Silva held a meeting with the President of the Republic of Mozambique and Mrs. Isaura Nyusi, this being followed by a meeting between the two Heads of State together with their respective retinues.

At the end of the working meeting both Presidents made declarations to the Press.
