The President of the Republic visited the Sauneset research station, of the Norwegian Institute of Marine Research, as included in the programme of his official visit to this Scandinavian country.

After a presentation of the station’s activities and having viewed several of its facilities, President Cavaco Silva left for the Bekkjarvik Marina, in the island of Selbjørn, where the Norwegian Minister of Fisheries, Ms. Elisabeth Aspaker, hosted a luncheon in the honour of the Portuguese Head of State.

In Bekkjarvik, the President made a statement to the Portuguese journalists.
