The President of the Republic received, in audience, Dr. Francisco Nunes de Matos de Sá Carneiro, to whom he handed the diploma relative to the decoration awarded posthumously, in 1986, to the former Prime Minister Francisco Sá Carneiro, of the Grand Cross of the Military Order of Torre e Espada, of Valour, Loyalty and Merit.

At the end of the audience, Dr. Francisco Nunes de Matos de Sá Carneiro subscribed the act of deposition, in the Museum of the Presidency of the Republic, of the diploma pertaining to the decoration awarded posthumously to his Father, and which had not then been handed to the Family of the former Prime Minister.
