The President of the Republic received today, in audience, delegations of the political parties represented in the Parliament of the Madeira Autonomous Region, having heard their opinion concerning the political situation occurring through the resignation of the Regional Government of Madeira.

Once this consultation procedure with the political parties was concluded, the President decided, in accordance with legal and constitutional terms, to call a meeting of the Council of State, to take place next March 2.
