Beginning his visits to the various counties of the Madeira Autonomous Region, the President of the Republic went to Ribeira Brava, where he viewed the Ethnographic Museum, and to Câmara de Lobos, where he was shown the refurbishment project of the area of the “Praça da Autonomia” (Square of the Autonomy). 

Later, back in Funchal, President Aníbal Cavaco Silva attended the inaugural ceremony of the Home of Santo Antonio, in the Parish of “Sagrada Família” (Holy Family).
