Mister President,

I was deeply concerned with the news of the brutal earthquake occurred today in Peru and with its tragic consequences in loss of human life, as well as the number of seriously wounded and resulting great material losses. 

In this moment of pain, I wish to convey to Your Excellency, on behalf of the People of Portugal and in my own personal name, our feelings of profound sorrow, our sincere condolences and deeply felt solidarity.
