The President of the Republic addressed a message of congratulations to driver Hélder Rodrigues who became world champion in all terrain motor cycles.

Following is the text of the congratulatory message sent by President Aníbal Cavaco Silva:

“I want to congratulate driver Hélder Rodrigues upon becoming world champion in all terrain motor cycles. Hélder Rodrigues thus sees his name entered as the first Portuguese driver to achieve the title of world champion in this type of sport.

This victory proves that dedication and perseverance in sports are the best path to success and that Portugal confirms its potential to exploit other types of sport as a country of excellence in such activities.
