The President of the Republic addressed a message of congratulations to José Mourinho, elected Coach of the Year by FIFA.

"In this very special moment of your career, on behalf of all the Portuguese and in my own personal name, I congratulate José Mourinho for having been awarded such an important sign of recognition in the world of football.

When inscribing his name as the first person ever awarded as Coach of the Year, set up in 2010, FIFA renders justice to the brilliant career that has taken him to the highest levels in football.

The distinction now awarded is a further motive for pride for all Portuguese who have followed his professional path with great admiration and enthusiasm.
