The President of the Republic sent a congratulatory message to the National Ruby Union Team, which has been qualified for the World Rugby Union Cup Final.

Following is the text of the President’s message:

"On being advised of the qualification of the National Rugby Union Team for the 2007 World Cup Final, I wish to congratulate the players, assistants and managers for this notable accomplishment, and for having attained the highest qualification ever achieved by national rugby union teams.

Apart from the success of the National Team in this sport, its qualification is an important contribution for the popularity of rugby union in Portugal.

I address my heartiest congratulations to all the members of the team and my best wishes for the activities of the National Rugby Union Team”.
