The President of the Republic addressed a message of condolences to King Juan Carlos I of Spain, regarding the railway accident occurred in Castelldefels.

Following is the text of the message:

“Majesty, Dear Friend

I was deeply touched when being advised of the tragic accident occurred in Castelldefels.

At this time of great pain I wish to address Your Majesty, on behalf of the People of Portugal and in my own personal name, our deepest feelings of grief, begging you to convey to the mourning families our most sincere condolences and heartfelt solidarity.
