The President of the Republic addressed a message of condolences to the Family of Dr. Mário Montalvão Machado.

Following is the text of the President’s message:

“Upon being advised of the passing away of Mário Montalvão Machado, I want to address the mourning Family my deepest regrets and heartfelt sympathy.

Mário Montalvão Machado was a notable example of a distinguished jurist and public figure who was a prominent Northern individuality, an exceptional tribune and parliamentarian and, above all, a citizen of great character and principles.
