The President of the Republic sent a message of condolences to Her Majesty Queen Beatrice of the Netherlands, regarding the victims of the accident occurred in Apeldoorn.

Following is the text of the President’s message:

“Majesty,

I was deeply shocked and saddened when advised of the tragic event occurred in Apeldoorn, during the celebrations of the National Day of the Netherlands, which resulted in several mortal victims.

I wish to address Your Majesty, on behalf of the people of Portugal and in my own personal name, our very deepest feelings of grief and request that you communicate to the victims’ families our sincere condolences and solidarity.
