The President of the Republic sent a message of condolences to the President of the Republic of Brazil, regarding the effects of the floods which afflicted the State of Santa Catarina

Following is the text of the message:

“Mister President and my Dear Friend,

Upon being made aware of the tragic effects of the floods that afflicted the State of Santa Catarina, I wish to transmit to Your Excellency, on behalf of the People of Portugal and in my own personal name, our very sincere regrets, requesting that you make known to the families of the victims our deepest condolences and feelings of solidarity.
