Dear Madam

I was deeply grieved when learning the sad news of the passing away of Ambassador José Aparecido de Oliveira, a notable figure of the Political and Diplomatic History of Brazil, a friend of Portugal and an untiring worker on behalf of the relationship between countries with Lusitanian descent. His decisive participation in the creation of the Community of Portuguese Speaking Countries will for ever be recognized as part of a fundamental inheritance for the History of Lusitanian Descent.

In this hour of grief, which we share with Your Excellency and with all the mourning family, I beg you to accept my deep condolences which I have the honour to present in my personal name and on behalf of the People of Portugal.
