The President of the Republic addressed a congratulatory message to the National Paralympics Team, which will represent Portugal in the 2008 Beijing Paralympics.

Following is the text of the President’s message:

"I am very pleased to congratulate the Portuguese athletes who will represent our Country in the 2008 Beijing Paralympics.

The Portuguese are already in the habit of enthusing with the victories and exploits of our Paralympics Team, in the successive editions of the Games they have taken part. Above all, the highlight is on the will to win of a group of athletes that have not become resigned and that have overcome their own limitations to reach ever further.
