The President of the Republic sent a congratulatory message to judoka João Neto, who conquered the gold medal in the < 81 Kg category in the European Judo Championship. Following is the text of the message:

"I wish to congratulate you for the excellent grade achieved in the European Judo Championship, in Lisbon, where you were awarded the gold medal in the < 81 Kg category.

Upon climbing to the podium in this competition, your notable classification is a relevant contribution for the value of sports in Portugal and an important encouragement for young Portuguese sportsmen.
