The President of the Republic sent a message of condolences to the Family of Commander Valentim dos Santos Diniz, who passed away in Brazil.

Following is the text of the message:

"I was deeply touched with the news of the passing away, in São Paulo, Brazil, of Commander Valentim dos Santos Diniz.

Commander Valentim Diniz, a native of Beira Baixa, was a marked example of the entrepreneurial success of the Portuguese Diaspora.

On behalf of the people of Portugal and in my own personal name I am sending my deepest condolences to the Family of Commander Valentim dos Santos Diniz
