Mister President,

I was deeply moved when becaming aware of the tragic effects of the cyclone that assailed with particular violence the South of Bangladesh, causing a great number of victims and enormous material losses.

In this hour of mourning and pain, I wish to transmit to Your Excellency, to the families of the victims and to the People of Bangladesh, on behalf of the People of Portugal and in my own personal name, our deepest condolences and the expression of our great friendship and solidarity.
