The President of the Republic attended, in the Vera Cruz Mexican resort, the Inaugural Session of the XXIV Iberian American Summit.

Welcomed by the President of the United States of Mexico, Enrique Peña Nieto, President Cavaco Silva subscribed a screen named “For an Iberian America in Peace” and then made his way to the Conference Centre where the Summit meetings are held.

Between a musical presentation and the viewing of a video relative to the 24 years of the Iberian American Community, the Heads of State and of Government heard, in the opening session, the speech of the Iberian American Secretary General, Rebeca Grynspan, and that of the Mexican President.

At the end of the Inaugural Session, the traditional photograph was taken of the Heads of State and of Government.
