Upon the occasion of his participation in the XXIV Iberian American Summit of Heads of State and of Government, which is being held in the Mexican resort of Vera Cruz, the President of the Republic met with members of the Portuguese Community resident in Mexico.

The gathering took place in the Residence of the Portuguese Embassy and President Cavaco Silva addressed a few words to those present, after which he conversed with them.
