In the beginning of his State Visit to Portugal, the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono, held a meeting, in the Palace of Belém, with President Cavaco Silva.

After being in the Jerónimos Monastery, where he laid a wreath on the tomb of Luis Vaz de Camões, the President of Indonesia was driven to the Palace of Belém, where he was received by a Guard of Honour.

The President of the Republic and Mrs. Cavaco Silva then held a meeting with the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono and with Mrs Ani Bambang Yudhoyono, this being followed by a meeting between both Heads of State together with their respective retinues.

At the end of this working meeting, both Presidents held a press conference.
