State Visit to Portugal by the President of Indonesia

The President of the Republic of Indonesia, Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono, and his Wife, Mrs. Ani Bambang Yudhoyono, will travel to Portugal, on a State Visit, on 19 and 20 September instant, at the invitation of President Cavaco Silva.

The visit will begin, on 19 September, with the laying of a wreath on the tomb of Luis Vaz de Camões, in the Jerónimos Monastery.

The Indonesian President and his Wife will then be received, in the Palace of Belém, by the President of the Republic and Mrs. Cavaco Silva, this to be followed by a working meeting between the two Heads of State.

The programme for the same day will include meetings with the Prime Minister and with the Speaker of the National Parliament, and a ceremony in the City Hall, where the Keys to the City of Lisbon will be presented to the visiting President by the Mayor of Lisbon. The programme will terminate with a State dinner in the National Palace of Ajuda.

In addition to the presidential retinue, the President of the Republic of Indonesia will be accompanied by Indonesian entrepreneurs, and an entrepreneurial Forum is expected to take place.
