Tribute to President Lech Kaczynski

In Prague, the President held a two minute silence over the death of Lech Kaczynski

In tribute to the Polish President Lech Kaczynski, killed in an air accident, the President of the Republic and Mrs. Cavaco Silva held a two minute silence outside the hotel wher they had stayed during their State Visit to the Czech Republic.

President Aníbal Cavaco Silva, together with part of his retinue on the State Visit to Prague, accompanied the gesture suggested by the Czech authorities with respect to paying a tribute to the Polish Head of State and his wife, victims of the accident which caused the fall of the aircraft in which they were travelling. The tribute took place in the week end when the respective funerals were held.
