Ceremonies in Prague Castle

President Cavaco Silva met in Prague with his Czech counterpart Václav Klaus

At the formal beginning of the State Visit to the Czech Republic, the President of the Republic met, in Prague Castle, with his counterpart Václav Klaus, after a welcoming ceremony during which he was awarded military honours.

The President and Mrs. Cavaco Silva held a private meeting with the Klaus Presidential couple, before an enlarged meeting of the two countries’ retinues took place.

At the end of the meeting, the two Heads of State held a press conference.
