Opening of Conference
Mrs. Cavaco Silva attended the Opening Session of the 36th European Cystic Fibrosis Conference, held in the Lisbon Conference Centre, where she delivered an address.
Prize awarded to Margarida Martins
Mrs. Cavaco Silva attended the presentation ceremony of the 13th edition of the 2012 Active Woman Prize, a trophy attributed by “Activa” magazine.
Luncheon in Belém
Mrs. Cavaco Silva hosted, in the Palace of Belém, a lunch in honour of Queen Sophia of Spain, who came to Lisbon to take part in the Conference that celebrated the 30th anniversary of the Institute for Child Support.
Conference held in Parliament House
Mrs. Cavaco Silva took part, in Parliament House, in the “Missing and Sexually Exploited Children” Conference, comprised in the 30th Anniversary of the Institute for Child Support, during which she addressed a speech.
Meeting in the Palace of Belém
Mrs. Cavaco Silva organized, in the Palace of Belém, a meeting with a group of Women Entrepreneurs that have given continuity to family enterprises, with the topic “The Feminine Influence in Entrepreneurialism”.
New Magic Glow Worm Campaign
Mrs. Cavaco Silva attended, on board the cruise ship “MSC Opera”, docked at the Santa Apolónia Terminal, Lisbon, the Opening Ceremony of the 2013 Magic Glow Worm Campaign, organized by the National Federation of Social Solidarity Cooperative Societies – FENACERI.
Donations attributed in the Palace of Belém
Mrs. Cavaco Silva receive, in the Palace of Belém, the participants in the 2012 Diplomatic Bazaar, during which the donations based on the Bazaar’s revenues were attributed to social solidarity institutions.
Centre in Mira Sintra
Mrs. Cavaco Silva and Mrs. Hayrünnisa Gül visited the Educational Centre for the Handicapped Citizen, in Mira Sintra.
Visiting the Museum
Included in the programme of the State Visit being carried out in Portugal by the President of the Republic of Turkey, Abdullah Gül, Mrs. Cavaco Silva invited Mrs. Hayrünnisa Gül to view the Museum of the Presidency of the Republic.
Tradition in Lisbon
Mrs. Cavaco Silva took part in the procession of Our Lady of Good Health, one of Lisbon’s religious traditions, and which made its way through several of the city’s streets.
