President Cavaco Silva in Nova Delhi

President of the Republic in New Delhi on a State Visit to India
The President of the Republic arrived in New Delhi to make a start on Thursday to a State Visit to India at the invitation of the Indian Head of State, Avul Pakir Jainulabdeen Abdul Kalam.

In addition to political meetings and to the signature of several accords between the two countries, the visit includes a major economic and business component, with economic seminars and business meetings in the four cities included in the visit – New Delhi, Goa, Mumbai and Bangalore.
