President requested from the Constitutional Court the preventive investigation of the provisions of the bill which allows civil matrimony between members of the same gender

1. The President of the Republic requested from the Constitutional Court the preventive investigation of the constitutionality of the provisions of articles Nos. 1, 2, 4 and 5 of Parliamentary Decree No. 9/XI, which allows civil matrimony between members of the same gender.

2. The request for investigation of constitutionality was accompanied by a juridical opinion subscribed by Professor Doctor Diogo Freitas do Amaral.
