Food Bank Voluntary Workers
Continuing the programme of the 5th Campaign of the Route to Inclusion, the President of the Republic visited the facilities of the Braga Food Bank, and held a meeting with officers of this institution of social solidarity and voluntary organizations which work with it.
Visit to a clothing manufacturer
The President of the Republic started, in Barcelos, the 5th Campaign of the Route to Inclusion, dedicated to “Unemployment and the new risks of poverty”, with a meeting, held in the City Hall, with officers of the trade unions representing the Textile, Ceramics and Civil Construction sectors of activity.
The President of the Republic ended the 2nd Campaign of the Route to Youth with a visit to the former Gunpowder Factory, in Barcarena, where the Centre for Experimental Art of the Portuguese Club of Arts and Ideas (CIPAI) is installed.
On the second and last day of the Route to Youth, President Cavaco Silva visited, in Outurela, Oeiras, a project of individual entrepreneurship known as “Guitar Artisans”.
At the end of the first day of the 2nd Campaign of the Route to Youth, the President of the Republic visited in Quinta do Conde, Sesimbra, the ANIME Youth Association, known as a project of intercultural education.
In Montemor-o-Novo, the President of the Republic visited the Convent of Our Lady of Saudação, where the educational project “The Space in Time”, which covers painting, music and dance studios is located.
On the first day of the 2nd Campaign of the Route to Youth, dedicated to the theme “Autonomy, Juvenile Associability: Art and Culture”, the President of the Republic travelled to Tramagal, where he visited the headquarters of the CISTUS Youth Association.
Display of Portuguese designers
The first campaign of the Route to Youth ended with the President of the Republic and Mrs. Cavaco Silva, attending the Portugal Fashion display, held in Sala Tejo of the Pavilhão Atlântico.

The President of the Republic had lunch on board the vessel “Encantos do Douro” (“Douro Charms”) with a number of young entrepreneurs.
Visit to technological exhibition
On the second day of the Route to Youth, the President of the Republic visited the Porto headquarters of the National Association of Young Entrepreneurs (ANJE), where he officially opened a technologically based business incubator which was then named “Global Portugal”.
