Wind Farm will be Europe’s largest.

President commences Route dedicated to Clean Technologies in a Wind Farm located in the Minho Province
In the beginning of the 2nd Campaign of the Route to Science, dedicated to Clean Technologies, the President of the Republic visited the S. Paio Wind Farm, at Vila Nova da Cerveira.

After the presentation of the projects of Wind Energy Undertakings of the Minho Valley (EEVM-Ventominho) and of the Eólicas de Portugal Consortium, President Cavaco Silva visited the wind farm, which already has an installed capacity of 52 MW and plans to install, until the end of 2008, a further 240 MW, which will make it the largest in Europe.
