The Route to Heritage is a series of campaigns, which include various locations and regions of the Country, with the aim to provide for the defence, the valuation and the promotion of Portuguese heritage.

Continuing previous initiatives, it is wish of the President of the Republic to emphasize the need to preserve the heritage to the various institutions, enterprises and people in general, as well as to call their attention towards certain examples of activities, scientific excellence and integrated management which are being developed in this area.

The main objective of the Campaign is to contribute towards an overall understanding of the heritage including its several angles and the enormous potential it has in terms of the identity, cohesion and development of the Country.
