President of the Republic congratulated new President of Greece, Prokopis Pavlopoulos

The President of the Republic addressed a congratulatory message the new President of the Hellenic Republic, Prokopis Pavlopoulos.

Following is the text of the message from President Cavaco Silva:

“Mister President,

On behalf of the People of Portugal and in my own personal name I am pleased to address you our warmest congratulations and best wishes in the performance of your most eminent duties.

I am certain that, during Your Excellency’s mandate, the excellent relations between Portugal and Greece will continue to find renewed means of depth and development.

Reiterating our sincere congratulations, I beg you to accept, Mister President, my best wishes for your personal well-being as well as that of the People of Greece.

Aníbal Cavaco Silva”
