President sent condolences to King Philippe of Belgium upon the death of Queen Fabiola

The President of the Republic addressed a message of condolences to King Philippe of Belgium upon the passing away of Queen Fabiola.

Following is the text of the message of condolences sent by President Cavaco Silva:

“Majesty,

It was with great regret that I received the news of the passing away of Her Majesty Queen Fabiola.

In this moment of mourning I address Your Majesty, and all the Royal Family, on behalf of the people of Portugal and in my own personal name, our deepest feelings of sorrow and most sincere condolences.

I beg you to accept, Majesty, the expression of my highest regards and personal esteem.
