The President of the Republic addressed the Vice-President of Zambia, Guy Scott, a message of condolences upon the death of President Michael Sata.

Following is the text of the message of condolences from President Cavaco Silva:

“Mister Vice-President,

I received with great regret the sad news of the passing away of President Michael Sata.

In this hour of mourning, I wish to address Your Excellency and all the People of the Republic of Zambia, on behalf of the People of Portugal and in my own personal name, our deepest condolences and feelings of great sorrow.
