President congratulated athlete Rui Bragança, European champion of Taekwondo – 58 Kg

The President of the Republic sent a congratulatory message to athlete Rui Bragança, who was declared European champion of Taekwondo in the 58 Kg category, in this sports championship event, held in Azerbaijan.

Following is the text of the message from President Cavaco Silva:

“I congratulate athlete Rui Bragança on becoming European Taekwondo champion in the 58 Kg category, in the European Championship event, held in Azerbaijan.

By achieving this victory he honours national sports and demonstrates that Portugal confirms its potential to challenge several activities, thus becoming a country that is excellent in sports performance.

Please accept my congratulations and my sincere wishes for your personal well being and continuing sports performance.

Aníbal Cavaco Silva”
