The President of the Republic addressed a message of condolences to the Family of television producer and former Programming Manager of RTP Luis Andrade.

Following is the text of the message of condolences sent by President Cavaco Silva:

“It was with deep regret that I learned the news of the passing away of television producer and former Programming Manager of RTP Luis Andrade.

His name is linked to many of the most striking programmes and more significant features and TV transmission in Portugal.

Amongst the marks he left after a career of almost fifty years, are some of the moments of remarkable renewal in television programming.

Luis Andrade earned the professional and personal recognition of all those with whom he associated and left a trace of sympathy with whoever he fraternized.

At this time I render my tribute to the producer and address my deepest condolences to the Family of Luis Andrade.
