The President of the Republic addressed a message of congratulation to the President of Argentina upon her re-election to office.

Following is the text of the message addressed by President Aníbal Cavaco Silva:

Madam President,

On the occasion of Your Excellency’s expressive re-election to the high office of President of the Republic of Argentina, please allow me to address you, on behalf of the people of Portugal and in my own personal name, our most sincere congratulations and warmest votes of success.

I am certain that Your Excellency’s second mandate will allow the continuation of the proceedings for the strengthening of the bonds of cooperation and friendship between Argentina and Portugal.

Renewing my congratulations, I beg you to accept, Madam President, my friendly wishes for your personal well being and for the prosperity and progress of the People of Argentina
