At the end of his digression in Northern Alentejo, the President of the Republic attended the opening concert of the Marvão 2nd International Music Festival.
President welcomed in Nisa
During a trip to Nisa County the President of the Republic visited, in Tolosa, the cheese and lactic products company Sotonisa.
Visit to Evertis Ibérica
The President of the Republic visited in the Quinta de S. Vicente entrepreneurial zone, the Evertis Ibérica company, which develops packaging solutions with polyethylene film, mainly used in the food industry.
New Schools Centre
Included in his digression in Northern Alentejo, the President of the Republic visited Sousel County, presiding at the inaugural act of the Schools Centre, where he delivered an address.
Sheep raising facility
The President of the Republic visited the Monforqueijo and Fertiprado companies, as well as the Torre de Palma Wine Hotel, in the county of Monforte, when carrying out a digression in North Alentejo.
Presidential address
The President of the Republic set the date for the General Election to be held on 4 October next, as addressed today from the Palace of Belém.
Visit in Mafra
The President of the Republic visited, in Mafra, the Army School of Arms, where he viewed the training activities of cadets, sergeants and men in field exercises and demonstrations of training in several military specialities, namely that of combat in built up areas.
Audiences in the Palace of Belém
In order to set the date for the holding of the General election, the President of the Republic received, in separate audiences, the representatives of the parliamentary political parties: Ecologist Party “The Greens”, Left Wing Block, Portuguese Communist Party, CDS/PP – Popular Party, Socialist Party and Social Democrat Party.
Meeting in Belém
On the occasion of the termination of the legislative session, the President of the Republic received the Speaker and Deputy Speakers of Parliament , as well as the leaders of the Parliamentary Political Groups, whom he then hosted at luncheon.

The President of the Republic received, in audience the world kitesurf distance record holder, Francisco Lufinha.
